Grapevine Frieze Limestone Console Sink

A hand carved limestone console sink whose thick rectangular top is wrapped along its front edge by a running frieze of grapevine, the bunches of grapes and vine leaves cut in deep relief. A round bowl sits raised within the top, its rim worn smooth, and its rounded underside shows clearly beneath the slab. Two square piers carry the top on acanthus scroll brackets and stand on moulded bases over a long stone plinth. The limestone is a warm honey grey, dry and softly pitted. Suited to powder rooms, principal bathrooms, guest suites and country residences.
