Rosette Corner Limestone Console Sink with Bow Swags

Seen at three quarters so both carved faces show, this limestone console sink has a front frieze of ribbon bows and draped swags meeting at a central floral boss, while the side carries a plain recessed panel closed by a crisply carved rosette at the corner. A round bowl is set into the top, with dark inlay visible at its corners. Two broad curved bracket legs stand on stepped bases along a long slab. Unlike the pale garland sinks in the collection, the stone here is grey and lichen toned, rough grained from long weathering. Suited to bathrooms, powder rooms and country residences.
